Only on 29 May 2024 Hainan Airlines opened regular flights Shenzhen-Vienna and already 2 different logojets appeared on 2 of the 3 flights so far. While B-1499 on 01 June 2024 deceived all spotters when it insisted on request for RWY 29 for landing, despite RWY 34 being used, today the Chinese boys were satisfied with the usual RWY 16 in use.

During whole May every Wednesday and Friday shall A340-600 of European Cargo make intermediate stop at Vienna on its route Haikou-Bournemouth. First two flights were in bad weather, so I decided to catch this rare aircraft during its 3rd rotation despite high May sun and some clouds.

The first two Boeing 787-9s for Austrian Airlines come from the former Bamboo Airways fleet. The arrival of the first of them, OE-LPM, wanted Austrian Airlines keep so secret that after several delays it arrived in the dark. But on 14 April 2024 they showed it unintentionally to the whole spotter community during pilot training on a Sunday morning... :-)

The first landing of Air Canada logojet "Disney Wish" C-FVLX at Vienna on 04 April 2024 did not work out, as the weather was awful. Today it luckily repeated the same route and with success, although it was very close call, 5 minutes after landing the light "switched off"...
