Prague airport authorities have opened a new elevated spotting platform north off RWY 06/24 today. The Knezeves platform formed one of the first steps on the way towards spotters and aviation enthusiasts back in 2012, when a temporary platform was erected, to be replaced by a fixed platform shortly afterwards. This platform needed to be demolished when the new perimeter road and lines were built in May 2018.
A few months later, a new platform is available, further north from the runway, but almost twice so high. We wish great sightings to all enthusiasts. The photographs may also enjoy the other platform, south of the runway crossing, accessible from Hostivice.
